Assignment of alternate ad specs to sub-items and/or schedule lines in a document item.
The user can create an ad spec split in ad, online and commercial items. This is known as a manual ad spec split.
Manual ad spec splits can be date-related or regional:A date-related ad spec split is created if the customer wants a different ad spec to be published on each date. A regional ad spec split is created if the customer wants a different ad spec to be published in each regional issue of a daily newspaper or in each broadcasting frequency on a radio station.
The system can create an ad spec split in ad items. This type of ad spec split is known as an automatic ad spec split.
The system creates an automatic ad spec split during schedule line generation if this is required for technical reasons or as a result of different page/column formats. The respective indicator in the combined ad booking unit specified must be selected for the system to do so.
