A component of the process management framework that manages notifications of certain events related to a business process.

Each user receives his or her own alerts. The notifications allow a user to manage tasks by priority and to navigate to the point of interest within the relevant business process. The types of notifications that the system delivers to a user depend on a user's role and personal preferences.
