Definicja back office

A concept that refers to business processes which take place behind the scenes. The back office serves as an interface between the front office, such as a call center, and the Enterprise Resource Planning system used to fulfill a sales order, for example.

A customer places an order over the Internet. All the details need to fulfill the order, such as available quantities and delivery times, are provided by the back office.
