OLE-enabled client programs access proxy objects, which are instances of SAP business objects managed by the BAPI ActiveX control. These proxy objects correspond to real SAP business objects stored in the R/3 Business Object Repository (BOR). The details of the process are invisible to the client program, because the data structures exported from the R/3 System through the BAPI ActiveX control are encapsulated in objects.
