Definicja business domain

Co znaczy BUSINESS DOMAIN:

Determines the source of the BW InfoObjects, BW key figures, or data elements that are used as a basis for characteristic registration at the data basis.

The business domain determines the logical system (RFC destination) in which these InfoObjects or data elements are located, and also determines a catalog for the InfoObjects or key figures in case of registration at the SAP BW.

When a data basis is created, a business domain must first be assigned to it. In this way you decide on a population of InfoObjects and key figures or on the data elements of the entire ABAP dictionary, on which basis you can then select InfoObjects/key figures or data elements in the maintenance of the fields of the data basis.

Currently you can only select the InfoObjects or key figures of one BW system. This means it is only appropriate to edit one business domain that specifies a BW system (local or remote). It is currently not possible to manually edit the registration to the data elements of an ABAP dictionary

A business domain can be located in a local or remote system.

The following types of business domains are available:

Business domain with the attribute "SAP system": The system type field (technical name: ACC_SYSTYPE) of the business domain has the value "SAP". Only data elements of the DDIC can be registered (local or remote). It is currently not possible to edit the registration manually. The following logical systems are available:

Local system: RFC destination is not filled or refers to the local system.

Remote system: RFC destination is filled and does not refer to the local system.

Business domain with the attribute "Non-R/3 system": The system type field (technical name: ACC_SYSTYPE) of the business domain is not filled. Registration of InfoObjects/key figures (local or remote) and of local data elements of the DDIC is permissible (it is currently not possible to manually edit the registration to data elements of the DDIC). The following logical systems can be selected

Local system: RFC destination is not filled or refers to the local system.

Remote system: RFC destination is filled and does not refer to the local system.
