Definicja contribution (PA-BN)

An amount paid by an employee or employer to secure employee benefits.

Contributions are invested, in the case of stock purchase and savings plans), or set aside as tax-free for the payment of anticipated expenses in the case of FSA plans. They differ semantically from costs, because costs are non-returnable payments.
