Definicja descriptive characteristic (SCM-APO-CA)

Product and location are the only characteristics that are transferred from Demand Planning to SNP and Production Planning /Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) without having to make further settings. It is however possible to define descriptive characteristics for use in these applications that use Order LiveCache. These characteristics permit more detailed planning in several applications.In order to define a characteristic as a descriptive characteristic, you must enter it in a consumption group. This consumption group can then be assigned to product and to release profiles. Unless you enter the consumption group, the characteristic will not be transferred during release.

As far as Demand Planning is concerned descriptive characteristics do not differ from other characteristics.
