Definicja filter (BW-BEX)

Object that describes the multidimensional segment of data from a dataset.

In reporting, analysis and planning, filters are used to restrict data to a specific business area, specific product groups, specific timespans, etc. By segmenting the dataset, users or user groups can get restricted access to the data that is relevant to them or that only specific data areas are visible within an application scenario.

Filters can be saved so that they can be used in other contexts again.
