The grant type controls the behavior of a grant in the system. It determines which functions are available, which number ranges are used for grants, and so on.
The grant type is user-defined. A grant type must be entered in the master data of each grant created in Grants Management (GM). Once the grant is saved, the grant type so entered cannot be changed.
