The main elements of the Graphical Framework are data containers, graphics proxies, the multiplexer, customizing objects, product management, standardized function modules and the data container wizard.
You can generate graphics by using a function module or by using the ABAP objects interface.
The advantage of the function module is that the implementation is simpler. The disadvantage is that it can only be used to display (not to change) simple data with fixed Customizing. For more complex usage, the ABAP objects interface must be used.
