A company who exhibits the film or distributes it directly to the consumer.

Sometimes a licensee will be authorized per contract to sublicense the film(s). The difference between sub distribution and sublicensing is that a sublicense is usually limited to a couple of licensees whose names are stated in the contract. The sublicense is also usually for the same territories and rights as stated in the contract for the licensee.
