Definicja local vendor

A vendor who supplies one or only a few store(s) but not the entire retail company. These stores are therefore also involved in developing a business relationship with this vendor.

Local vendors are important for stores that are able to add local materials from producers in the local area to the centrally planned assortment. The same is also true of franchisees and self-employed retailers in a cooperative association who want to add to the assortment of the franchisor or cooperative.

A store can trigger the entry of a master data record for a local vendor and then later it can also change master data for local vendors for which it is partly responsible. It can also maintain store-related purchasing data, including the purchase price, for materials supplied by local vendors.
