Definicja non-repudiation (BC-SEC)
The inability to deny having performed an action.
This is important as electronic messages and documents can be easily copied or changed. Therefore, in case of dispute, we need a means to prove that the alleged person performed the action. Non-repudiation assures that the parties involved cannot deny what they have done.
A non-repudiation service is able to prove that a person sent a message to another person. This is normally achieved by using a public-key technology.
