Definicja parallel discontinuation

Is a special case of discontinuation in which a group of materials is replaced at the same time, each material by its own successor material.

One material is defined as the main material to discontinue. When there is no stock of this material, dependent requirements for the whole group of materials are transferred to the follow-up material.

Example

You replace a drive belt in a machine. This means you also have to replace the manual in which the spare numbers are listed.
