Definicja step acquisition (EC-CS)

An increase in the direct investment on behalf of an investor unit in an investee unit through the purchase of shares from a consolidation unit outside of the consolidation group.

If the consolidation unit selling the shares belongs to the same consolidation group, this is referred to as a transfer.
