Definicja store card

Card used in retail for a payment transaction via chip cards (such as EC card with a cash card chip).

When a customer makes a payment, an amount transfer is triggered from the customer card to the card reader contained in the store card by way of a log. The data record is then presented at the store's risk office to check the correctness of the payment transaction. According to German financial laws, once a correct payment operation has been completed, meaning once the data from the chip of the customer's cash card is transferred to the store card, the amount of the sales transaction is guaranteed to the trader by the card-issuing bank.
