Co znaczy SUBASSIGNMENT (FIN-SEM-BCS):

A characteristic that subdivides (breaks down) the values of characteristic "financial statement item".

SAP delivers the following predefined subassignments:

Partner unit Transaction type Transaction currency Unit of measure Investee unit Year of acquisition and period of acquisition

In addition to the predefined subassignments, you can define your own custom subassignments, which then extend the data basis of the Consolidation system. Examples of this might be the fields "Country" and "Product Group."
