Definicja template (FS-BA-SD)

A template specifies the settings and values that can be used for a primary object in the master data framework. In Customizing, a template prescribes which attributes are available for a given primary object.

By combining templates, you can create new, more complex templates that are structured hierarchically.

Structured templates are made up of subtemplates, which themselves can also be structured templates. A template that is not a combination of other (sub)templates is called an elementary template.
