The differentiation of PVS variants into subordinate classes in the product class hierarchy.
Variant differentiation provides a mechanism for differentiation on the level below the PVS variant in accordance with object dependencies.
A product class hierarchy consists of the general product class "Bike" and the subordinate specialized product classes "Mountain bike", "Trek bike" and "Racing bike".
