Collaboration on delivery schedules (CMDS = Collaborative Management of Delivery Schedules), which comprises the processing of scheduling agreement releases for procurement scheduling agreements (MM) and sales scheduling agreements (SD).
In this process a customer sends his suppliers information regarding his requirements in the form of a scheduling agreement release.
Suppliers can confirm the scheduling agreement releases which they receive from the customer (either exactly or if necessary, in part only)at the time of scheduling and not only on goods issue.
This means that, if necessary, customers can use other suppliers as a source of supply.
