Definicja collector (SCM-ECT-LIM)

Part of the Logistics Inventory Management Engine (LIME).

The collector's task is to act as a data buffer, and to collect goods movement data in collections, in order to transfer thesecollections, using the dispatcher, to a subsequent application for further processing. The collection and transfer of the data can be performed synchronously or asynchronously to the posting in LIME.

During synchronous further processing, the collector collects the data at the same time as the data is posted in LIME. This procedure is recommended if the number of goods movements to post has no effect on performance.

During asynchronous further processing, the collector collects the data at a later point. This procedure is recommended if the number of goods movements to post would negatively affect performance.
