A part of the Rapid Planning Matrix (RPM).
All the components of a product that is planned using the RPM are in the rows of the component variant matrix. The data for the APO orders for the product is in the columns. The components used in a planned order are marked with a X in the appropriate cell.
The component variant matrix is generated for the long-term planning matrix and for the detailed scheduling matrix.
