Method for generating the data basis

The data collection method specifies from which data, and in which manner, the SAP system is to generate cost items for the data basis. Cost items can be calculated from HR master data, payroll results, or data from Training and Event Management, for instance. You use different data collection methods for employees and for organizational objects.
