Heuristic that organizes the planning process for several products in procurement planning.

Example in product interchangeability: In a discontinuation scenario, the products in a supersession chain automatically form a planning package. A heuristic is used here as dispatcher heuristic that calls up the product heuristic for each product in the supersession chain one after the other during planning. The sequence is specified by the supersession chain.
