Dynpro emulation is able to convert a classical dynpro representation of an SAP screen on the fly into a representation that is indistinguishable from a Web Dynpro presentation.The original representation stays the same - in contrast to a dynpro conversion, which turns it into real Web Dynpro metadata.

Web Dynpro emulation relies technically on the SAP Internet Transaction Server integration into the SAP Web AS. It is used to keep the unified look and feel of an application.
