Definicja extrapolation (MM-IM)

The process performed during a physical inventory based on samples.

In the extrapolation process, the system provides an estimated value for the entire stock population based on the adjusted book inventory balance after inventory differences have been posted.

If inventory differences have only been posted for some of the selected stock management units, the extrapolation is provisional.

When all physical inventory postings have been made, a final extrapolation is performed.

After final extrapolation, the system determines whether or not the sample-based physical inventory was successful.
