In the QM application component, this measure identifies a normal, reduced, or tightened inspection. Sampling schemes can refer to sampling plans for inspection severity, or inspection severity and accepted quality level (AQL).
By varying the inspection severity, the probability of acceptance and the inspection effort can be flexibly adjusted to respond to different quality situations.
