Definicja intermediate buffer

An iPPE node type that is used to represent a barrier between two line segments.

An intermediate buffer is used to cope with minor malfunctions on the production line. If there is a short-term breakdown on a line segment, the buffer allows work to continue on the preceding and succeeding line segments. You can define an average retention period, in the form of a specific number of takts, for the material that is processed in the intermediate buffer. This number of takts is taken into account during scheduling and when calculating material stocks for each takt.
