Serviceable and unserviceable parts are usually held in different storage locations. Inventory groups enable you to group serviceable or unserviceable storage locations together.

The Component Maintenance Cockpit (CMC) uses these inventory groups when determining priority values for range of coverage, serviceable stock, or unserviceable stock.
