Forecasting techniques that take into account the different stages in a product's life: introduction, growth, maturity, saturation and decline.

In APO Demand Planning, the planner can model the beginning and end of a product's lifecycle based on phase-in and/or phase-out schedules. These schedules are stored in phase-in/phase-out profiles. Lifecycle planning also includes "Like" modelling, in which the forecast for one product is based on the historical data for one or more other products.
