Definicja own-account trading

Business area of the bank, to which largely internally- initiated transactions are assigned. Profit values include price gains and own-account revenues from the transactions. The organizational unit 'trading' or 'treasury' is in contact with the large institutional business partners and uses marking-to-market to measure the success of the activity in the form of trading results. Typical examples include securities transactions in stocks and bonds, foreign exchange transactions and Swaps.
