Definicja planner (SRM-SUP)

Role assigned to employees within the supplier organization.

The planner is responsible for supply chain activities between the purchaser and supplier. He monitors, and responds to, inventory demands from the purchasing organization and reviews purchase orders from the purchasing organization. Thus, the planner is provided with authorization to view incoming purchase orders and demand from the purchasing organization.

The planner also coordinates the scheduling and delivery of goods to the end customer; he responds to alerts for material shortages.
