Definicja postdischarge hospital treatment

Hospital treatment that is carried out after inpatient hospital treatment to safeguard or consolidate the success of the treatment.

In accordance with the German Social Security Code (§115a SGB V), postdischarge treatment is restricted to seven days of treatment within 14 days after the end of inpatient treatment (exception: transplants).

With postdischarge hospital treatment, the hospital does not provide lodging and meals (partial provision of meals might be given as circumstances require).
