Definicja respite care

Short-term care given to a person in need of care in a special rest home or care center.

If a person in need of care cannot be cared for temporarily at home (for example, because the normal caregiver is ill or on vacation, or if modications are being made to the home), the care insurance pays for the costs of care in a special center for day care and respite care.

In contrast to care provided by a substitute, this type of care is not provided in the home environment of the person in need of care.
