Definicja sequential reading

A means, in Data Archiving, for read access to archived data.

The data pointer is positioned directly at the start of the file and is moved, bit by bit through the file. The data stream that is read is transferred directly to the read program. When it reaches the end of the file, the read process is completed. The display program decompresses the data and compares it with the user's selection criteria. All data that matches the selection criteria is then displayed in list form.
