Benefit provided to an employee that is not taxed when it is provided, usually because of its non-cash nature. The cash equivalent value of the benefit must be declared by the employer to the Inland Revenue (IR) using a P11d tax form.
A self assessment form must also be completed by the employee, for the IR to assess how much tax is payable.
