Definicja unserviceable part

A defect part or component of a technical object, usually an aircraft component, a jet engine, or ground equipment.

An unserviceable part may require repair, overhaul, modification, callibration, and/or test. The part may be repaired immediately after removal from the technical object (Remove-Rework-Install), or removed and replaced by a technically-equivalent serviceable part. The unserviceable part is placed in a warehouse for unserviceable stock until required for repair. Repair may depend on the range of coverage of serviceable stock, or on a maximum defined quantity of unserviceable stock parts permitted in the warehouse.
