Definicja coverage declaration

Declaration sent by a health insurance carrier to a hospital stating whether the costs for the hospital stay of a patient will be covered by the insurance carrier.

Coverage declarations can also reject coverage entirely (for example, if the patient is not insured with the insurance carrier). Positive coverage declarations may be unlimited in time or restricted to a certain period or amount.
