Definicja heuristic-based capacity leveling

Capacity leveling procedure in Supply Network Planning. If the system identifies a resource overload, it moves the orders on a period basis to later periods (forward scheduling) or earlier periods (backward scheduling) until it achieves the desired resource utilization level. The total quantity of orders in the planning horizon is unchanged. In contrast to optimization-based capacity leveling, the results of heuristic-based capacity leveling are not always optimal.
