The replication of a target to date situation to determine the pipeline performance in a real situation and how changes to the target to date situation, such as increases or decreases in won deals, expected sales, and the difference between the target sales figures and the won and expected sales figures would affect meeting the target.

This allows the sales manager to perform various 'what-if' scenarios and to compare the simulation results with that of the current pipeline performance. The results of the sales manager changing the data are not written and saved to the database until the user decides to do so.
